That should reduce the amount of water going into the storm drainage system. The weeping tile is quite deep. at least at the east end (That I saw installed). It will be interesting to see how it works during spring thaw.

^^ Nice shots, looking good all around. In the 3rd & 5th pics, (I'm sure some details are unfinished but) it looks a little dangerous at the moment. Would make a good squirrel crossing for Jasper Ave if it was a straight shot across though.

I'm not so sure that is the unfinished product. I'm guessing the little "sumps" behind the curb are to let solids settle, the stone to prevent soil erosion as the sump overtops before going into the landscaped area. Not sure it's dangerous (I think you're talking about the "sump") as nobody should be walking over the landscaped area....if you do that you deserve a wet foot and a sore ankle haha.^^ Nice shots, looking good all around. These are standard details in most cities with planting areas adjacent to roads and they have been in place for many years. They work extremely well.

Removal. Also Epcor is updating the electrical vaults now. Last 2 weeks they were prepping.

Well it looks like PCL is ready to start on this one again on the east end. 97 at Jasper is now down to 1 lane each direction. There is a refuse bin at 98st, the same place as last year. PCLs job shack is next to the Feb building on 97st.

At one time, I believe they also housed mini phone booths. However, more design than function, the shelter aspect was minimal. I think I once tried to stand under one in a rain storm and was disappointed.

The southside of Jasper Avenue is now closed off at 110 and 111 streets and traffic down to one lane in each direction - readying for part two of the work from last year which should extend down to 114 Street.

Given we are still in February, is this typically earlier than usual the city would be starting projects like this? Either way, I'm certainly glad to see movement happening.
