I cannot wait to see this stretch done and then refocus efforts on 102-109st... and I might even argue to redo 100-102 as it looks AWFUL only a decade later.

For the 102 St - 100 St section I would just replace the streetlamps, replace the benches and add more greenspace. No need to redo the entire stretch.

Project Update - Spring 2025​

Design of Phase 2 of Imagine Jasper Avenue is underway and includes Jasper Avenue between 114 Street and 124 Street.

Imagine Jasper includes 2 lanes of motor vehicle traffic in each direction, shorter pedestrian crossing distances at each street along Jasper Avenue, wider sidewalks, landscaping, benches, and bike racks.

The design is similar to what was recently constructed on Jasper Avenue between 109 Street and 114 Street.

Utility relocation will begin later this year and road construction will begin in 2025. Construction is anticipated to take 3 years to complete.

One difference I recall from a Council meeting is that they changed the landscaping a bit, based on lessons learned from phase 1 regarding what is easy or difficult to maintain.

One of the notable differences for pedestrians will be the raised continuous crosswalks - making crossing safer with better accessibility going east-west.
These crosswalks begin west of 116st I believe.

2025: 114 - 117 Streets
2026: 117 - 121 Streets
2027: 121 - 124 Streets
