I was always worried about this building especially the top parts that are held together by metal strips. Good to see it will survive.

Between this, Maple Leaf Gardens, and the No Frills going into the former Toronto Sun building, Loblaws is doing some good things for the downtown. I think it's great to see these otherwise empty old buildings being kept (mostly) intact but put back into use in a way that makes the surrounding areas more livable. Win-win.

Great news! I've always really liked that building and have been concerned of what might become of it. I often thought it would make a good base for a vertical farming tower... maybe one day but for now I love that it'll be a Loblaws facility again, for the sake of continuity.

such a beautiful building. glad to see it will get some care & be put to good use. thank you loblaws.

What is the overall plan for the building? Will the exterior be redone/repaired in anyway? I assume at the bare minimum the window structures will be replaced.

Now if they can only get rid of that nasty billboard on the roof.
