And I repeat, military guy with rifle… move it along crack heads
Telling someone to move along after they have been there a half hour or so is not a gun point.
Gunpoint is pretty strongly implied in edm13's post.

The big problem is move it along to where? With Boyle, Bissell, Mustard Seed, and Jasper Place drop in's all closed where do you expect people to go? Chase them out of the LRT and they are going to end up in the entrance ways of businesses. Businesses lock down their entrances (which we all complain about) and then they end up in residential lots. Enforcement is expensive wack a mole.

Yes we know they will end up else where, but at this point, almost anywhere else is more tolerable than our public transit

You say that but they set up in empty fields and abandoned lots and that was deemed intolerable and requiring of police intervention.

So the solution then is let them hang out in the subway stations as long as they don’t block the staircases?

Pointing out the futility of one action is not saying its opposite is the solution. We all know that until we actually invest in social housing, stop cutting support programs, and acknowledge that some people need long term support we are doomed to play this never ending game of wack a mole. We paid the police to chase people out of the LRT, so they set up encampments on literally the least used land in the city, so we got mad and paid the police to chase them out of the encampments, now they are back in the LRT, so we are going to pay the police to chase them out of the LRT again, so they are going to find somewhere else to stay warm, we are going get concerned about public safety in that location and then pay the police to chase them out, rinse and repeat ad nauseum. My point is not that people should be allowed to do drugs and shit in the LRT, but that we need to grow up and stop playing this asinine game.

Some fair points here. But I’d also say, I personally didn’t notice any less bull shit going on in and around the LRT, even when they had encampments. Also, to some extent, you do get what your tolerate. And right now, we tolerate everything.. when you set the bar so low, well, this is what we get. You have to force people to have some accountability for their own actions. It’s kind of like how they revive people who have ODed multiple times in the same day, at some point I would say, 3 strike and you’re out. Might sound harsh but it is what it is

Honestly this one's weird, judging by the time (12:55 AM was the first one), this seems like the victims were almost all homeless folks.

There was an ambulance parked beside and two paramedics heading onto Health Sciences / Jubilee platform today. They didn't seem to be in too much of a hurry though. Not sure what was happening there, anybody know about any disturbances at that station today?

Yesterday north side of Bay LRT doors were locked, no notice or sign anywhere to be seen, but a disgusting interior top of stair. Not sure what was going on, if anything, but my lord it was awful looking inside.
