Yes I do notice less enforcement there, but IMO compared to Central Station and Corona, Bay seems to have fewer problems overall. However, it may take longer to deal with them because of less enforcement.Time to bring it up with the Mayor and City Council.
I find it interesting that the Bay station is neglected while the other stations have legions of law enforcement.

I’m calling about 4 times a day lately.I really cannot continue to call Transit Watch twice a day for the entrances to Bay LRT.
Folks blocking stairs on each side again on the way home tonight, open drug us and imposing figures for regular transit users.
Alas.
My husband calls/texts on the regular. Same location.I’m calling about 4 times a day lately.
That would interesting to see the stats on. Council should request Transit Watch stats.I have been told in the past Transit Watch gets a call about LRT entrances Downtown about every 20 minutes.
This is only a partial picture, but the March 18, 2025 report on transit safety included a list of transit centres and LRT stations that had commissionaires, and how many incidents were reported by commissionaires at each one in 2024.That would interesting to see the stats on. Despite my experience last night, I have lately encountered some proactive attempts by Transit/ Security. Not sure if these 2 PA announcements came from LRT control or the Security control. One was at Corona targeting a group in the main 107 St entrance telling them to move along, that they had images of everyone's faces and suggested they probably didn't want to have to talk to police if peace officers. The second time was for a single person using drugs up at NAIT/ Blatchford. Both times it right time/ right place for me to hear the announcements.
LRT control certainly does seem to get the Transit Watch calls. It's rather common that motorman are asked to check their cameras/ trains for certain activities by control that are seemingly unprovoked. It's probably a combination of blue help phones and Transit Watch.
Commissionaires are giving out Narcan? That pretty much makes all the stations supervised consumption sites, no wonder there are constant issues with people doing drugs in the hallwaysThis is only a partial picture, but the March 18, 2025 report on transit safety included a list of transit centres and LRT stations that had commissionaires, and how many incidents were reported by commissionaires at each one in 2024.View attachment 726027
There was a city-funded harm reduction team handing out crack pipes in transit property at one point.Commissionaires are giving out Narcan? That pretty much makes all the stations supervised consumption sites, no wonder there are constant issues with people doing drugs in the hallways![]()
