Walked by today and there was HVAC work being done on the SW corner of the site. Not sure if that would be related. There is also a bobcat and a backhoe (I think) parked next to it as well.

Wish there were larger retail bays planned to accommodate a new grocery store. Would be a great location for loblaw city market or something similar. Tons of students living in East Campus/university ave area Would benefit

The old Sobeys location further down 112st is opening up as a H Mart, which is a Korean grocery store. Although I agree a grocer very close to the HUB LRT would be VERY useful!

If the Planning report is to be believed, there's virtually no opposition to this project expressed so far.

I can't see anything to hate either. It's a beautiful project that will give a boost to a high-density area that has not seen a new tower in ages.

Passed two readings unanimously at Council today (needs regional review before the 3rd for some reason). No opposition, lots of praise for MacLab's community engagement process, even earning a great speech by Todd Babiuk.

@Grandinite That seems excessive even for the City of Edmonton, I suspect there were some changes to the detailed design during that time.
