Why not just rededicate the street to another person with the name Dundas?
Common sense in a time of knee jerk reactionary times?
XD
Nah, it's just a very visible systematic release valve that safely allows the Struggle Sesh Reactionaries to blow off some steam and claim a small victory!Common sense in a time of knee jerk reactionary times?

can he run again?

From the Act:can he run again?
Because if he runs i am sure he would win lol

Interesting wording there, "has taken place" ie; past tense. As in they must skip out the next scheduled election (in addition to any obvious interim elections that may have to take place until then)? From the Act:
Penalties
(2) Subject to subsection (7), in the case of a default described in subsection (1),
(a) the candidate forfeits any office to which he or she was elected and the office is deemed to be vacant; and
(b) until the next regular election has taken place, the candidate is ineligible to be elected or appointed to any office to which this Act applies. 2016, c. 15, s. 60.
Of course that is what it means, it's quite clear. He also could not be appointed to replace another Councillor who resigned/died until after next regular election (that's the one in 2022).The wording is a bit odd. I wonder if they mean he can't run if council decides for a by-election, which is likely since we're 2 years and a few months away from the next election.
