Generally agree.A brief interlude from the usual here. Reading some of the latest missives from irritated and cynical forumers on the subject of how long its taking to get streetcar door cameras up and running.....
Its another day of 'This City is a Joke'; 'Nothing gets done here' .....etc etc.
Everyone knows here, I'm the first to critique politicians or the civil service over bad decisions or indecision. The streetcar cameras are taking (far) too long, fair to complain.
But I do find it tiresome to hear people endlessly complain about Toronto as if were the worst city on earth, or at least the worst in the developed world, or at least generally awful,.
...
A couple of points to add in response to those comments: When it comes to transit, I don't think people on this forum are comparing (or want to) with the US. That's a low bar for some of us who have had the privilege of traveling outside the continent.
I don't see much complaining about food (quality/diversity) in the city...because it's pretty darn good. I think that's the bar we'd like to see with infrastructure and the like...
