The TTC has the lowest bus spare ratio in North America. It's bus fleet has a spare ratio of 12%. The subway fleet has a spare ratio of 35%. The streetcar fleet would be like to be increased to 20%.

6505 for the Finch West LRT line is sitting outside the Alstom plant in Brampton. Looks mostly or completely assembled.

Have no idea why the US highfloor 30m are not 40-50m as one car in place of the current 2-3 car setup as it would do away with unuse cab that would save money.
TTC will have to look at longer cars on various lines due to ridership with 40/42 m being the option. Only so many drivers and yard space
Edit:
The front is more slop than this one in Stockholm at 30m 3 section due to larger radius. Expect to see sections longer than TTC cars like Stockholm model using 4/5 sections

On LRT routes like St Clair are okay but in legacy routes the current cars are long enough, they take too long to clear intersections and they are so long that the stops need to be further apart.

Again you keep mentioning that the TTC will use longer cars in the future, but this is simply not the case. They already studied it back when they were procuring the LRVs and there were numerous intersections, streetcar terminals, and stops that would not be able to accommodate this.
And they arent going to operate a mix fleet of varying length LRVs as that would just cause unnecessary complications operationally.

No different than other systems like TTC that have 2-4 different types of cars as well lengths.
Just because they look at it over 15 years ago doesn't say they can't revisited the issues down the road again,

Those first generation U2's were great except the awkward stares facing others. They done away those bench seats in later generations till now... Just like the TTC streetcars and GO trains now.
Personally I feel like low floor is a major downgrade in comfort and ride smoothness. I wonder how rocky they would be when reaching 70-80 km/h.

Lots of politicians will say low floor is for accessibility but it's mainly a cost saving measure, so they don't need to build higher platforms and the required ramps/lifts. Riding low floor trains in Toronto, to accommodate the wheels, those seats are usually never fully occupied and that narrow walkway people don't move down and the train becomes crowded in one section, while being relatively empty in the other.
