Or actually have been one of the grave-diggers!IO has been handling major procurements for ML for a long time now. It has always been their turf. The new CEO will have a good understanding of where the skeletons are buried. They may even own a shovel.

I don't think so. Either it's a personal decision or just typical finding someone to blame. How many people have they fired at the top of the subway and other divisions? This is definitely an election tactics.
He was hired in the Kathleen Wynne administration. As much as the guy sucks, he was basically hired to be Fords punching bag!

Inverted pyramid does not even begin to describe all the new VPs, Directors and Senior management types hired at Metrolinx the past few years. A co-worker of mine joked that she was going to apply to be VP of TP, 4 ply for all!I heard on the news that Verster grew the number of EVPs from about a dozen to over eighty. Considering what I have seen and heard, that entire organization is incapable of even finding a shovel, let alone using one.Or actually have been one of the grave-diggers!
There are 3,307 people on the Sunshine list at Metrolinx https://www.sunshineliststats.com/Employer/9/2024/metrolinxmetrolinxInverted pyramid does not even begin to describe all the new VPs, Directors and Senior management types hired at Metrolinx the past few years. Metrolinx isn't serious about providing quality transit to Ontarians. It exisists to provide "cushy" government jobs for friends and insiders. There are 3,307 people on the Sunshine list at Metrolinx https://www.sunshineliststats.com/Employer/9/2024/metrolinxmetrolinx
The $100,000 threshold of 1996 is equal to $181,000 in 2024. There are over 1,500 employees at Metrolinx over this level. Considering that most of the work is designed and built by separate private contractors, what the heck are all these ML sunshiners doing?
And it remains far more reliable - and at times more frequent - than the TTC, and even some other services.Metrolinx isn't serious about providing quality transit to Ontarians. It exisists to provide "cushy" government jobs for friends and insiders.
