I don't mind it, could add some nice new affordable units in an area that needs them.Small, 17-unit apartment proposed for Canora at 10160 153 St. View attachment 382519

Yeah, I’m waiting to see proposals start dropping for all the sites along stony. I hope they come. Jasper gates should help turn the tides as it begins its build out.The bulldozers can’t come quick enough between 149th and 163rd….in fact last time I was through a ton of structures have already seen a D9 and lots had construction fencing up as well. Has the JP hotel seen it’s final days yet?
Some nice infill going in across from Giovanni Caboto Park:

Any insight on what is going in kitty corner to this project behind the Shell? I swear I saw some construction fencing up there now too.Very exciting strip mall being built on 149st and 95ave. (Jk)
What is actually exciting though is that the whitemud to stony plain areas from 142-163rd are see more investment. With the WVL coming, I’m hopeful these mature areas will soon attract a lot of new young families and revitalize the area. Although not special, these little strip malls do create increased walkability in the area compared the strip malls in farther out suburbs that are totally car dependent.
Lots of corner row houses are being built as well with 8 units. (Four 3bdrm towns with legal basement suites). Cool to see new projects in older areas! View attachment 382837View attachment 382843
