I remember the proposal for that lot. It would have been nice as it was going to be at least 3 storeys from what I recall. It’s been fenced off for what seems like decades
Yup, this came up in the HRRP. Apparently it's the children of the long-time owner who are really behind the recent push to restore itA bylaw to designate the Canada Permanent Building as a municipal historic resource is ready for the first of three readings. If the bylaw is approved and upon completion of the project phases, the city will pay the owner up to $112,620 for rehabilitation of the building. The historic building had a tough few recent years, after sitting empty and then facing several failed attempts to revive the space.

Thank you to the nice children that care what happens in our City and preserve some history. A nice legacy for the family and the City.Yup, this came up in the HRRP. Apparently it's the children of the long-time owner who are really behind the recent push to restore it

Good luck with that.IBI In Edmonton will hopefully attract more developers like
Concord, Pinnacle, Westbank, Pemberton, Menkes ETC
and have other developers come back like Great gulf and Lamb
