I love that the Currents is getting residential. It's all that was missing. I hope this trends in other areas too

Technically there are 3 massive condo & rental buildings across the street plus another few buildings very close by. Don’t think this new one is super unique, but good to see the density I guess.

Agreed, but those ones are outside the Currents. I believe this spot is near the Safeway in the parking lot.
Love to see less separation between shops and people. Helps vibrancy and people won't have to cross a stroad.

Any idea if they are still managing to move forward? Progress seems to have ground to a halt with less activity on the Instagram page.
Really hoping this isn't dead/bankrupted by the cost of saving the building.

Whatever encourages development and increases residents along the LRT line is a win for me. That's at least a possible 1.5-2k people with those units, people who might take transit to access amenities or downtown.

Exactly. Just because you have density around a station, if it has been designed to put its back to that choice and hub, what's the f^&(%$ing point?

Okay, I did some digging and found this page from Reztark Design Studios showcasing "The Pointe At Clareview", and WOW. This is a really interesting master plan and, while the renders are very shiny and this is probably just a concept, it would be amazing for the station and area to have something even remotely like this happen. Does anyone here know if these plans have actual weight or not?
