I might just have bad taste but I don't hate it. I like the addition of colour. I hope they do something nice to the podium to give it a good street impression.I thought this would look awful, but it looks even worse than expected. The one positive is the fantastic mural on the north side. Is the podium not getting any work done to it?
Its those Cell Towers that really look horrendous. I remember being up there during a walk through and its a mess of wires.
I'd hate to see the telecom agreement(s) for those between the telecom company(ies) and the building owner. Its those Cell Towers that really look horrendous. I remember being up there during a walk through and its a mess of wires.
They may be making more from the telcos than the tenants!I'd hate to see the telecom agreement(s) for those between the telecom company(ies) and the building owner.
All it's missing is the LRT station!
Good. The idea that they could move the creek without compromising the integrity of the underlying soil and watershed was ridiculous, in my opinion.Thought this was an interesting article. Business park proposal that would relocate Fulton Creek, remove 6,900 trees fails to pass
Notably
- Admin was in support
- Council split the vote 6-6
- Balance between shrinking tax base of non-residential property vs environmental/ecological stewardship
- Councilor Wright commenting on the lack of consultation with Papachase First Nation (it feels a bit disingenuous for a Councilor to use "lacking Indigenous consultation" as justification for non-support, especially when there's not even really much formal/informal precedent for it being required to begin with)
- Approval would require amendments to the zoning bylaw, the Maple Ridge Area Structure Plan, the North Saskatchewan River Valley Area Redevelopment Plan and the Southeast District Plan.
It can be done but is expensive.Good. The idea that they could move the creek without compromising the integrity of the underlying soil and watershed was ridiculous, in my opinion.
