Wait what?! You’re so right…..just assumed it was the same project…..what’s the likelihood of 2 projects being across the street from each other……

That's fair, both lots of have sat vacant for so long who would think that both are in motion now!
What a change it'll be though for both sides to be developed!

Has anybody heard anything about this project?

The whole block besides the A&W is under this application. It would be transformational on this site, but I hope it's decent.

This is apparently it. Doesn't appear to be much to look at, but it's a bunch of people in an empty lot near transit, so there's that!

Canadian Blood Services to move into a space at 5814 51 Ave NW (just down the road from the new Valley Line LRT OMFs). Does anyone know if this is instead of moving to Whitemud Crossing?

That seems like a poor choice of location if so; perhaps just lab or other services? No transit, not near a hospital and pretty inconvenient overall.

It must be a lab because their donor centre recently relocated from the U of A to Whitemud Crossing and is now operational.

This is an underrated area for walks/bike rides. The old campground down in Blackmud creek is a fun place to explore.
And full of encampments causing the area a lot of issues.

The more development in the area, the better.

Not trying to take away from other areas of the City where this is an issue too but we've had a lot of issues lately with break-ins and fires being set in the ravine.
