Here's my understanding: it was bought by (I think) the brother of the owner of Leonardo's Café, who was planning to turn it into a wellness center. My guess is that the owner discovered it was in worse condition than he thought, because a demolition application went up a few weeks ago.And I either missed it or forgot, what's happening here?
It is too bad this was one of the few areas with a number of houses from this era. Turns out it's a different Loblaws brand:No Frills moving into the old Chapters building (3227 Calgary Trail).
So the site on 109th has a Pagnotta sign on it and a drill rig on it as I drove by this morning. Looking forward seeing what's going in there.![]()
Site is fenced off with a rendering of what is going there. Was driving by so didn't get a chance to see what it looks like.

This is all fenced off too. Not sure if it's drainage work or anything but the fence has been there for about a week now and there's construction vehicles on site.
