And ya, I believe it’s been empty for quite some time. Not sure if there’s any connection between it and the four fenced off houses.

Does anyone know if the current building for École Michaëlle-Jean (the 7-12) near 101 Ave and 83 St is also being demolished and replaced as part of this complex? On the Major Projects website they're listed together: https://majorprojects.alberta.ca/details/Solution-for-École-Michaelle-Jean-Gabrielle-Roy/10933
Kind of shame since Gabrielle-Roy has a nice building, but at least the architecture firm they've hired seems pretty good.

Yes. At least that was the original plan. Both schools will be housed in the new building.

That would be a great lot to see filled up, especially if a Massey Ferguson project moves forward too.

A row of 8 houses (with one in the middle still standing) were just demolished, just south of Whyte at106st and 79 ave. Something upcoming called "Queenalex 79"?

The one in the middle looks like a hold out, so I assume there will be two buildings here, one on each side. The two rental houses on the end (now torn down) seemed to have a lot of problems with the type of tenants they had, so hopefully this will solve that and improve the area.
Although, I thought the older one on the end was nice, although small and quite old. I wished it could have been fixed up. There is a rapidly diminishing number of these older houses still around.

Block 109 Apartment Building
The project will see a six storey low rise apartment complex built at 7906 - 109 Street NW, Edmonton which will include 61 residential units over an underground parkade. A building permit was issued by the City of Edmonton on September 8, 2025.

Development Permit for 344-unit conversion was submitted yesterday, it's official now.

I hope they can connect the CN tower to the stationlands boardwalk thing! Maybe even a pub or restaurant??
