That's what I was thinking, looking at the 1924 Goad atlas:So...if that's the address, would that have been demolished very shortly thereafter for the University Av extension?
Good article, Northern Light, thank you. I'll just add (unmentioned in the article) that the 'Richford Arms" in Erie PA, is a 2/3's scale former 'Ford Hotel' and still exists.

Wow! Who knew, certainly not me!I always suspected Double Take was a grocery store. I believe what is now Barbara Hall Park was once a grocery store too.
They had painted the bricks (white for example) because of the soot that covered just about everything, from coal fired boilers and furnaces.
