I've said it before: All these shots of the rail yards dominating lakefront Toronto is a punch to the gut of nostalgia, when I was a little boy and my dad would take me to Jays' games at the Ex. Taking the subway and streetcar, walking there, and the overwhelming sprawl of the railway (always fascinating to a little boy). The Dome opened when i was 8 so I was really young!

Quite very well done Goldie, isn't it? Great link, thank you. In the comments section there is another great link: "Blitz Ghosts".

Closer to home. There's a D-Day exhibit at New City Hall, put on by the International Plastic Modelers Society, of scale models and equipment. These guys and gals are real artists in plastic, wood and paint. Full disclosure: one of my siblings belongs to the IPMS and is also a planner at City Hall. :) Runs June 2 thru 6.

"Sleepy Hollow". While scanning older maps I noticed on the 1862 HJ Browne Plan of the City of Toronto a fairly large green space on the south side of College Street - east of Spadina and south of the University of Toronto - called Sleepy Hollow. Here is the Map, thanks to Nathan Ng.

Not absolutely sure where it is now but here is a photo of the "cottage' - listed at TPL as "Robinson, John Beverly, 'Sleepy Hollow', College St., s. side, between University Ave. & McCaul St."
