April 20 shots in the poor weather.

Been 3 months since I was there. Thats a nice narrow road and lets see how much through traffic takes place after it opens.

I shot 60 photos of it.

It looks good so far but I think that stage is much too low to the ground. For large shows, a stage needs to be about 6 feet off the ground or people will have a hard time getting a good view. Montreal seems to be best at staging large events. Their stages are about 7 feet high and almost everyone has a good view of the stage.

I agree.

Based on past track records, if you are not near the front, you are shit out of luck to see what is taking place.

That holding room is too small.

Depending on what being plan for this new area, that grass is going to get a lot of use and torn up.

Considering all the surface parking lots in MCC, probably the last thing this area needed was even more on-street parking taken away.

The City Centre Rd in front of City Hall, will not open until Sept 19 to Traffic.
April 30: Shot 70 photos and would shot more if the 13th floor was open.

By any chance is it artificial grass ? I think that'd be a great idea here. It works incredibly well @ the Harborfront center downtown.

Real grass is a mistake in my opinion - I mean it's not terrible I just think artificial grass would be wonderful here, particularly in the fall / sprint (and many of our winters) when real grass is all but dead but there is no snow on the ground.

Also, if that's going to be heavily used prepare for that grass to meats it end : ). They can always switch in time.

The square looks amazing. One thing I hate about it though is the lack of trees! Its concrete land!! Lots of lost opportunities...
