"Does anyone know who serves a good tongue sandwich nowadays? Here in Toronto?"
QUOTE Mustapha.

Ever try Katz's, w/s Dufferin by Orfus Road?

This reminds me of a Chevrolet Chevy 2 or Nova from that 60s time period...

My Grandpa, backing his new 1963 Acadian out of the driveway at 432 Roselawn Ave. (house in the centre)

Brewster: I noticed this Chevrolet auto-this reminds me of the Chevy 2 or Nova...
Was the "Acadian" a Canadian-only version of the C2 or Nova?

It has been a while since I last looked here-I missed a lot in this Lost Toronto in colour topic... LI MIKE

Good grief. The Motherlode of Spadina Avenue pictures. And I see the El Mocambo. They look like they were taken yesterday.

My band played our very first show at the El Mocambo. My dad said he hadn't been in there in 30 years, it was a fantastic experience.

FOMOCO also rebranded one of their own:

Ford = Meteor.

It's unfortunate that there's no photographer's credit with these wonderful Spadina photos.

If, as the transparency folders suggest, they were taken for Macleans magazine it might be possible to find that out.

Hey, where on Wellesley is this? I can't fig it out for my life! It kinda looks like Church St (East Side) looking South from Isabella.

North side, just west of Yonge - looking towards Yonge.

The photo of the three kids has to be on Queen, north side, west of Bathurst. You can see the old Vienna Bakery in the background, which was at 626 Queen St W. It closed in 2006 - the owner was Gay Couillard.
