Day 3
- Central Park
*We went through it to get to the Guggenheim. Calling the park big is definitely an understatement.

- Guggenheim
*Unfortuently, the exterior was being renovated so I did not get a chance to see it. They also closed down the top 2 or 3 floors due to construction.

- Grand Central Terminal

- United Nations
*Really good behind the scenes tour at the UN. I definitely recommend it.

- City Hall Park
- Financial District
- Wall Street
- Battery Park

Good Manhattan pics!

Smuncky: Good Manhattan pics! The Guggenheim Museum,Grand Central Terminal,The United Nations and the Downtown Wall Street area are places I recognize. I like the pic with you(I guess) holding the bull statue by the horns. Nice! LI MIKE

Central Park ...We went through it to get to the Guggenheim. Calling the park big is definitely an understatement.

smuncky - Central Park is under 850 acres, so it is not as big as you think. Chicago's Lincoln Park, for instance, is 1200 acres if you are talking size.

What distinguishes Central Park is its surrounding skyscrapers, and being ranked number 1 in usage in the USA. They always throw around that figure of 25 million a year. Lincoln Park I think is second in usage at about 20 million visitors a year. I don't know where they come up with these figures. I'll double check and revise this post if I am wrong.

Now for the stuff of legend - Guggenheim Museum NY. When I was in NYC a few months back, our project was only two blocks away. A most photogenic host even in repair.

Thought I throw in this, since it applies and I had the reference:

Excellent overall effort!
