Thanks, but that doesn't break down how the wards voted for the mayoral candidates.

For people who preach inclusiveness and progressiveness, they sure like to hate on the right. For example, CBC and The Toronto Star (both blatently biased news sources leaning so far left I'm surprised they don't fall over, proof, just watch Christopher Humes reaction to Fords win) are ok while Sun TV News is evil just because they want to bring a view point from the other side.
I'm getting so tired of the same old crap from the left when it comes to Ford or anyone else (Harris, Harper etc) who is not a lefty. To me, Fords win is indicative of the shift that the common person (the silent majority who is not an activist, artist, or elitest) has had enough and voted for change. In other words, the common person who actually works hard for a living in the private sector.
Which I also don't comprehend. Taxes are generally lower in Toronto than other nearby cities. Compare a similar house south of Steeles to north of Steeles.
I was amused by some of the comments in Now's don't-vote-for-Ford article.Yes, the CBC and Star sooooo biased compared to the Sun and Post. I mean, the left media is jam packed with missing facts and ad hominem attacks...
Newsflash: Just because they don't suck the tit of your political ideology does not make them "ultra-left-socialist" media outlets. If anything, it makes them moderate and balanced. Read NOW or Eye if you want to see true left-leaning media at work.
Though why anyone would vote for a such a pathological liar is beyond my comprehension.
Obviously 47% of the city aren't bigots, and I'm surprised you would suggest that. However Ford is a bigot, as is many of his core supporters - this was evidenced in the reaction at his party to Smitherman.
Why any self-respecting person would vote for such a vile bigot is beyond my comprehension.

"A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance, irrationality, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs. The predominant usage in modern American English refers to persons hostile to those of differing race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, various mental disorders, or religion."
See above. Rob Ford is not a bigot. Your characterization of him as one is actually rather offensive.
I am just sort of wondering how David Miller feels this morning.
With the Ford victory I don't feel that Toronto is so threatened unless (and this is a big unless) the excellent waterfront progress is impeded or halted. Now that would be a bummer.
