At least 44 people diagnosed with COVID after large wedding in Vaughan

York Region Public Health says 44 confirmed cases of COVID-19 are linked to a large wedding in Vaughan that took place over two days.

In a news release on Wednesday, the public health unit said slightly more than 100 people attended the wedding at the Avani Event Centre in its Opus Room, located at 8400 Jane St., Concord, with wedding-related events on Oct. 14 and Oct. 18.

So, France and Germany are locking down and Russia of all countries is enforcing a mask mandate. Sweden also abandoned their herd mentality experiment and are locking down too.
 
Ontario reported another 934 cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, pushing the seven-day average of new daily cases to nearly 900.

The new cases include 420 found in Toronto, the most on a single day in the city by a considerable margin. The previous record was 330 infections recorded on Sept. 29.

The province also added 10 more COVID-19-linked deaths, bringing the total to 3,118. Some 2,001 of those deaths were residents of long-term care facilities.
