Cool pic of DT Calgary. Contstruiction site in the foreground is where the Hudson's Bay stands today. Interesting to see how bare Crescent Hill was back then.

Wow! Those images of Tuxedo Park and Bridgeland really drive home how young this city is. Hard to image that town of dirt roads and sparsely-populated, rolling hills would grow to become a major metropolis with over 1,000,000 residents and a skyline that rivals Philadelphia in just over 50 years.

Agree! I don't know what it is, but no matter the economic class a person was in, everyone just seemed more classy and presentable, especially in public. Men were always in suits and fedoras whether they were attending a sporting event or running errands. Even the working class construction workers are wearing collared button up shirts. Now you go into a Walmart and people are walking around in their pajamas with nacho cheese stains and it looks like they haven't showered in days.
