I stayed near Bastille in Paris. Here are some photos of the residential buildings in this eastern arrondissement. It's a nice neighborhood, with a lot of street life, shops, but also quiet sidestreets. I really liked the pastry shop on Faubourg with the pain au chocolat!

Well, winter is coming, and transatlantic air fares should fall considerably during this low-season.

I'm monitoring Austrian Airlines' annual package specials from New York - US$499 for airfare and 3 nights hotel in Vienna.
