Thanks again,MK for more good Paris pics and reply info...

MK: For these latest pics I will ask about these:
1171-Is that a new plate in this pic?
1172-Is this in a rail or Metro station?
1177-Metro - Cluny La Sorbonne on line ? The Paris Metro Handbook I have dated 1988
mentions this station's renovations and that the third track connected two
different Metro lines.
1178-Rail line in background?
LI MIKE

1171-No it is an older plate.
1172-Both, it is the one of entrace of the RER and metro station in Gare de Lyon terminal.
1177-Metro Cluny la Sorbonne (line 10) opened in 1930 closed in 1939 and reopened in 1988 for the opening of Saint Michel Notre Dame RER B station.
Yes the third track is connected with the line 4 but the interchange between the line 4 and 10 is Odeon about 300 meters further.
1178-Tracks of Gare du Nord, yes see an Eurostar train that link Paris to London.

#1185-A busy Metro Station...with many lines converging.
#1189-The River Seine I believe...What is that tall building behind the right bridge support? The smokestack is for which kind of industry-a power plant?
#1190-A crowded RATP bus...

#1181-Metro line 13 in Asniere
#1182-Rue de la Chaussee d'Antin, the building at the is the Eglise de la Trinite
#1185-Montparnasse Bienvenue, it is also the intercity (TGV) and suburban rail Montparnasse station
#1189-Exactly this is the Seine river, the tall building is Pleyel tower and we also see an incineration plant.
#1190-Line 28 near Porte d'Orleans

More Good pics of Paris...

MK: This is a first-please give me a run-down of all 10 pics(1191-1200)
They all look interesting to me.
Which license plate types did you capture in these pics?
Those angular building types caught my eye also...
Thanks again! LI MIKE

1191-An elevated metro bridge of the line 2
1192-We see the Viaduc des Art, an old elevated railway transformed in urban park.
1193-Tunnel and underground parking entrance taxi next to Gare de Lyon station
1194-A RATP bus Scania near Noisy le Sec RER station (northeastern inner suburbs)
1195-Rue du Havre near the Printemps
1196-The big Avenue de Fontainebleau in Kremlin Bicetre (southern inner suburbs)
1197-Rue Ordener in the 18th arrondissement
1198-T1 tower in la Defense (Faubourg de l'Arche district)
1199-Rue Mongador, it was the first one way street created in Paris. The plate is an old one.
1200-Pedestrian crossing near the Gallerie Lafayette

About the angular building I don't know anything, these type of building are quite common in interstection.

Paris pics...again I say thanks!

MK: Thanks for the latest reply-Paris can be quite interesting!
For your latest I ask about these:
1202-Plate on right is...
1204,1205-Plates in view in both pics are...
1206-RER Station where?
1209-Is the square plate on the right British? How often can you see British plates in Paris thanks to the convenience of the Euro Tunnel?
Tabac-Tobacco in French I believe.
1210-Elevated rail line in background? Motorcycle plates old and new?
Thanks much again in advance! LI MIKE

1202-Plate on right is an old plate
1204,1205-All are old plates yellow (1993-2007) white (2007-2009)
1206-It is not an RER station, it is Bois Colombe station of Saint Lazare J suburban network
1209-No it is a french plate, 92 at the end is for Paris western inner suburbs in the old system.
Anyway british plate are quite common but spanish, italian, german, dutch, belgian or even polish plates are more common in Paris.
Anyway until 2007 the color of the french and british plate where the same (white and yellow).
Tabac is effectivly Tobacco in French.
1210-It is the famous promenade plante an old elevated railway line transformed in park.
All the motorcycle plates are old.

More good Paris info-Thanks,MK!

MK: Thanks again for the insight-especially when license plates are concerned.
Another question: Do you ever see North American plates from the US or Canada ever in Paris? That would really be neat to see-especially if you can get a pic to go along with the topic! I will ask about these:
1211-Bus type along with newer plate?
1213-Gare D'L Est - Metro Station on which line?
1216-Busway-Does Paris have many of those?
1218-Plate on right?
1220-Italian food business-interesting to see in Paris - Since I love Italian food it would be neat to try the Paris version...
LI MIKE

1211-Scania CN230UB (Omnicity), the plate is an older one.
1213-Gare de l'Est, the train that we see is on the line 7, but the photo is taken from the line 5 platform.
1216-It is the line 91, Paris does not really have many busway like this one, it is mostly separated bus lines.
The only heavy busway line in Paris is the Trans Val de Marne (TVM) in southeastern suburbs.
The 91 is not that much segegrated as taxi can use the lane.
1218-Old ones. (2007-2009)
1220-Italian foods is very common in France, Italian were once our biggest source of immigrants.
According a survey in the 1980's about 10% of the population of France had at least italian immigrant grand father on their familly.
French are also the world's second biggest consumer of pizza by capita. The first being the american. :D
