It's actually shocking the amount of destruction our city has allowed/encouraged over the decades. Watching the Tour de France we keep making fun of how little of the gorgeous little French architecture would have remained if our city was in charge. And they managed to survive two world wars and countless other conflicts. Ugh.

If there’s one thing I’m thankful for in our history, the preservation of ravines like mackinnon and mill creek instead of becoming freeways is up there.

Could have made the mistake so many others did.
