The grass in this private park does not look so great at times, particularly when the weather is drier, but hey it is much better than an empty lot. I do hope this site is developed soon or eventually.

Also the old house in the picture to the south west (still used as commercial space) has been fixed up nicely.

It's such a perfect example of Edmonton's philosophy of good enoughism: the crappy grass, the chain link fence, the barely adequate picnic tables, all right in the middle of our most walkable neighbourhood. Yes, it's better than an empty lot but surely we can do better than that!

Many of our gravel parking lots were intended to be temporary. Which reminds me - the parking lot on Jasper Ave beside the Boston Pizza looks like utter crap. Are they allowed to do the bare minimum there or can it be reported?

Yes, although after some point in time I don't think something can be considered to be temporary. I don't know if there are any rules about this, but to me something like 3 to 5 years makes sense.

The parking lots by BP have been around for decades now, though they are not gravel they do not look great and there are several others like them or worse.

If you hadn't mentioned grass, I would've thought you were referring to this.
