Properly lit, landscaped, hard surfaced and drained. Many of our gravel parking lots were intended to be temporary. Which reminds me - the parking lot on Jasper Ave beside the Boston Pizza looks like utter crap. Are they allowed to do the bare minimum there or can it be reported?
As someone who lives a block from here and bikes extensively, this was a huge positive game changer for us!

Yeah, that's the thing - people turning right rarely look if there's anyone on the path. The worst one is the bigger intersection by Bellamy, Rossdale, and 103 St. Those are iffy at best since the lane closest to you will stop if they see you but the same cannot be said for the further lanes. We've also found that a lot of people now cut through the neighbourhood via 101 St from 97 Ave to Rossdale Road and I keep forgetting to call the city about it because they zoom through with little regard for the fact that it's a quiet residential area with plenty of dog walkers and cyclists.I wish they would make some further improvements to that intersection.
Architecturally, none of these six-story buildings is remarkable or even particularly good. But the street-level feel is really nice, and there are a lot of nice, unique shops around.Queen Mark Park has changed quite a bit in the past 15 years. One of the more underrated areas of the City IMO.
Yes, it is good to see what was an area of small, old commercial and warehouse buildings become a decent more dense residential area.Queen Mark Park has changed quite a bit in the past 15 years. One of the more underrated areas of the City IMO.
Ideally we need more connectors to make it easy to get to the places east of Gateway and south of Whyte AvenueAlthough I will not argue that this looks so much better overall, I am still having a hard time forgiving the City for allowing the design on the left because A. it blocked the view to the historical train station and B. the main floor CRUs are bland, boring, and hard to reach because of the barrier.
