I would MUCH rather take the green berm than that retail equivalent of AI slop. Who in their right mind would think that Edmonton needs more of that disposable trash? I know: Edmonton believes that.

The green berm was actually ok. Although I have some mixed feelings about yet another strip mall in the area, the smaller size seems to have attracted a nice variety of places that were not around here before.

I learned to ski there via the Woodward’s ski club. ETS bus would pick us up at the Woodward’s at Westmount and take us out to Lake Eden where we got skiing lessons etc. Lots of fun.

Junior High - You either went to Rabbit Hill or Lake Eden....every school in YEG during the 80's......

^hahaha totally. I learned to ski at Rabbit Hill in '87.

I learned to ski at the Cold Lake (military) ski club in 1961.

I'm so thankful for this video. Ever since I moved to Edmonton 13 years ago I was wondering what the billboard was at the top of that hill when driving east on the Yellowhead from Spruce Grove.

Lake Eden and Whitemud hill for me. I remember the freestyle skiers putting on a jump show at Lake Eden one night. I only skied Rabbit hill 4 or 5 times.

Was there ever a rope tow here? I have some vague memories of someone saying there was a ski hill here. I know that before the bisected the toboggan hill we would hike and ski there sometimes, but there was another gladed/cut line just NE next to it as well?!?!
