For better or worst this is roughly what the view would have been like if the towers had been built as originally designed. The original concept was for tall slender towers, but local opposition cut them down in height. The density was maintained by adding width.

Gosh i can't wait for Hullmark to arrive!, if you ask me, i think they built way too many of these NY towers. to the point where it looks a bit cheap. but there's some obvious inspiration for the designs of these towers! (pros and cons to this)

I actually didn't notice but if you go to the original 18MP picture (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ultran00b/4845714100/sizes/o/), on the top right hand corner is actually Ultima in North York Centre and 5140 Yonge St (Corp tower with Deloitte etc).
