More proof that most people don't care. As I said on Twitter, do the people who lost their homes in the Fort McMurray fire care about some parliamentary nonsense? What about First Nation communities with high suicide rates?

You're right, people just don't seem to care. They figure instead of having a good, competent leader, they want someone who looks good in pictures but can't do much of else. In 4 years, this mistake will cost us $100B. We shall see if people care at that time.

My problem with CPP is that through my career I will have put in thousands of my dollars into the system. However when I die I cannot pass my retirement contributions to my spouse of kids. Instead they can absorbed into the gov't ether. I'd prefer a system where I can opt out if I feel I can manage my own retirement, thus ensuring the money is invested and later used as I see fit.
