Single automobile vintage car show. Loblaws parking lot. Toronto, April 2011. To my eye, a great looking car. Owner tells me he still has some small details to go before he's happy with it.

Cranes City Place

I am loving all of these threads with TO pics. I thought I'd add to the mix. These are a series of pictures taken by a friend, a crane operator at City Place. We see pics of cranes but how many do we see taken from a crane? I won't post them all just a few favourites and then a link to the series. Most of the shots show a mobile crane taking down a tower crane. Keep in mind that the tower crane was on top of a 40 something story tower, the mobile had to reach up over 400 feet!

I really love this one for some reason. It's totally unique, very painterly and seems to tell or suggest a story. The expression on the man's face is so world weary and juxtaposes wonderfully with the onslaught of aggressive vehicles looming behind. The giant pop can car in particular has a kind of 60s Pop art feel to it. Terrific stuff.

mattelderca, I'm sure your crane operator friend is not lacking for work these days. :)

Today. A couple from St. James' Cemetery.

Great photos Travis. I see the lettering is off the Canadian Opera Company building. I wonder what they are doing there?
