New York City Mayor Eric Adams indicted on federal criminal charges, sources say
FBI agents were seen entering the official residence of New York City Mayor Eric Adams early Thursday morning, hours before an indictment detailing criminal charges against him was expected to be made public.
The indictment detailing the charges against Adams, a Democrat, was still sealed late Wednesday, according to the people, who spoke with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.
The U.S. Attorney's Office in Manhattan declined to comment. The New York Times first reported the indictment.
"I always knew that If I stood my ground for New Yorkers that I would be a target — and a target I became," Adams said in a statement that implied he hadn't been informed of the indictment. "If I am charged, I am innocent and I will fight this with every ounce of my strength and spirit."

Anyone catch the vice presidential debate last night? It was stunningly civil, even polite, and heavily policy focused. I couldn't help but think that I wish those 2 guys were the ones running for president!

I really think we all need to brace for a Trump victory. It's literally a coin flip right now. Harris is not doing well.

Indeed. I’ve resigned myself to a Trump victory. Maybe that’s the rock bottom the US needs before crawling out. In the meantime, Ukraine, Taiwan and others are screwed.

Why? There was a groundswell of support and optimism when she became the candidate and Trump looked hopelessly lost, having been tactically blindsided by the Democrats.

Even you are positing this in the past tense. The fact that Harris has raised a billion dollars and the race is still a tossup is worrying.
