Calgary - East Village | Arris & The Shops at East Village | ?m | 41s | ?m | 24s | Amanat Architect & Gibbs Gage

Given the prominent place this project is going to have in the East Village, I'm surprised I've heard so little about it. After a little digging I have found a few things though. It will be two towers and a large podium containing a mall. The towers, Arris, will be designed by Amanat and the podium/mall by Gibbs Gage. The sales centre for the project will be opening this spring. It looks to be by far the tallest project yet announced within the East Village. The address is 553 Riverfront Avenue SE, Calgary, AB.

1.26 million square feet, mixed use, three-tower development over Back Bay Station and Garage. Developer is Boston Properties, the same people behind the Hub on Causeway development. Project will also clean up the historically dirty Back Bay Station, and add two or three retail levels on top of it.

I don't have pictures, but Pierce Boston can also be labelled as "Under Construction". A crane is up onsite and an elevator core is above grade.
 
This project, located on air rights over Boston's South Station, has been approved for nearly 10 years. It appears the gears may finally be turning on it once again. Developer Hynes may be going back to the city to adjust the plans towards more residential space. They hope to break ground next year.
