Nice shots. Something should have been done to the podium rooftop on Simcoe Place. A greenroof would have been very useful there. From that angle it looks brutal.

Approximately how much taller than Simcoe Place will RBC be?

It will also have a much sleeker profile than Simcoe Place. However when you watch the construction progress it just doesn't seem that way. Kinda seems a bit bulky right now, but as it rises, it will appear taller and slimmer.

Hahaha.

I agree, though. RBC will make Simcoe look squat and chunky by comparison (not in a bad way).

looks like they are at about the 20th floor now... its starting to take shape nicely now, as is that center portion that will join RBC and Ritz.

April 2008

Construction continues on schedule. Concrete slabs are being poured for floor levels 19, 20, 21 and 22. Forming and pouring of the third floor slab in the north podium area is being completed and forming of the fourth floor will start soon. Erection of structural steel for the new loading dock on the south side of the podium at the ground floor level has commenced. Curtain wall installation in the tower will be completed on levels 11, 12 and 13. Elevator installation will continue in the high rise bank and service elevators. Mechanical and electrical trades will continue with their rough ins throughout the tower floors. Concrete block installation will continue on the tower office floors at the washrooms and elevator shafts. The Ritz-Carlton continues pouring the ground floor slab as well as the vertical walls and columns from level 2 to level 3 slab.

some really nice finds there Cal!

that little park infront of Metro Hall is going to be a cool space once it gets closed in by RBC and Ritz...

Those four low-rise buildings on the far left in the panorama will look so cool when this place gets filled in a little more.
