There are still a few sections showing the old concrete facade.

Some sections of the new vertical covering at the top has the wrap off. Looks like it's at least not green...

Oh awesome! Thanks for sharing this.I had no idea what they were doing up there and it was bugging the hell out of me. This should probably get moved to reclads. I'll miss the variety that the green brought, but the quality of the new cladding appears far superior. It'll looks like a totally different building once it's done. I hope the podium is going to get to share in the love eventually too.

I have noticed the scaffolding up on this older apartment building's parkade/podium for some time, and finally saw the finished product yesterday. Massive improvement to what was there before.

Given the current rental market and the number of new rental condos finished in the past couple years I wonder if this is a trend we'll see more of on older buildings trying to increase their appeal

Is Palliser Square ever going to get reclad? When they built Palliser South (Bell building), they also proposed two towers flanking the Calgary Tower and a reclad of the old Palliser Square. The exterior of that building is literally crumbling as they have a green net in the corners.

Much better than mine. I just snapped mine quickly while waiting at a red light (I know, I know, I shouldn't be doing that, but it was a long light).

I am curious to see what, if any, changes they will do at grade.

The new cladding is a cheap aluminum skin. It's a cheap cover up instead of repairing, rebuilding or reinventing. It only looks better because it's new. I didn't really care for the green. The new colours will make the tower look like everything else.

That doesn't look bad at all. I wonder if they'll also repaint the tower. The balconies are too heavy.

I'm liking how the lobby renovation on Encana Place is turning out. Ditching the fogged glass was a good call and I like the rust coloured embellishments that they're adding. It's much better in keeping with the colour and texture of the building as it is.

It kinda makes me wonder what it might look like if they extended the motif to the rest of the tower. It would look quite gothic.
