REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN: Part III

Warehouse District
The Canadian Pacific Railway was a major part of Regina's economy in the early days, leading to the creation of a large warehouse district north of downtown. Today these old buildings are finding new life with various commercial and residential uses.

Chinatown and other areas east of downtown
Regina has a small Asian business district on 11th Avenue east of Broad. There is a Chinese grocery, but it looks like most of the businesses are Vietnamese. There is some grittiness in this part of the city. Toward the end of the tour are some of the oldest homes in Regina, some are even brick (a rarity in Saskatchewan).

More interesting neighborhoods of Regina,Saskatchewan!

Flar: This is another good group of pics about Regina - these areas look quite interesting to explore and definitely not what I was expecting out on the Saskatchewan prairie...some of it looks eastern to me.

How far out of central Regina do you have to go before the City "bottoms out" to open country and farms?

I will comment on these pics at a later date...LI MIKE

That warehouse is immense. There's something to be said about that Chicago-style metropolitanism that graced little towns on the Prairie, both in the US and Canada.
