Thanks for that Red Mosquito. Watching that I had eerie flashbacks to reading Nalo Hopkinson's Brown Girl in the Ring, which I would suggest to anyone wondering what would have happened if Toronto went down that path.
 
thanks for posting this. As a former Michigander, I mourn the foiled dreams and plans that Detroit has had over the years for urban renewal. In my view, Detroit is THE urban story of the 20th Century because it demonstrates the utopian visions of industrialization and reality of racism, poor planning, and single-industry focus.
 
Thanks for the heads up on this! Just finished watching and it's an amazing doc for anyone with even a remote interest in urban issues. I saw some photo series last year about abandoned Detroit that was mezmerising, but seeing it in moving pictures is even more incredible.
