My unit is a bit odd. The ceilings drop from 9’3” in most places to 8’, so that bulkhead is structural. I didn’t mind so much because it’s in the living room / bedroom and I figured it’d feel cosy. I think most units are 9’ concrete standard, though I think all the sliding doors are a standard 8’ — could be wrong.
I'm on the fourth floor and also have the minor step down in the ceiling in the same spot, 9' ft down to 8' like you mentioned. I was actually worried about it visually before seeing it, but it really is very minor! Love your choices for the bathroom!

Odd layout with the potentially dead space by the bathroom door. I wonder why the designed it that way.

Completely agree. 90% of the units are just square but several have the awkward slanting wall, due to the parking garage at the core of the building, which goes to level 6.

I’m planning to put a liquor cabinet / tall shelf in the back corner and a small ovular or round dining room table in the middle, though I welcome any other suggestions.

Anyone have a unit on the 9th floor? Heard ceilings there are 10.5ft instead of the usual 9 - anyone know if that's true?

Sharing from our completed PDI today... Comments: Small unit, entry hallway much much longer than what was on the floor plan at time of purchase, overall quality was good relative to other builders, seems risk of south skyline starting with CNTower may be cut off from balcony view when RC4 is up...

I'm pretty sure you are the unit directly above me. Howdy neighbour! I have studied the RC4 plans very carefully and I don't think your view of the CN tower is going anywhere. Southcore will probably be blocked.

That is a great view. I like the shiny underside of the balcony. Nice touch. Also like the floors. None of that laminate crap. Like the dark framed windows on the inside (wish more builders did that) and just the overall modern look and feel. Yes, many of the new condos are modern, but RC turns it up a few notches.

Guess it's my turn to contribute! Not the best pictures, had to rush because I was already over time by the time I finished my PDI. Also have a video walkthrough, can upload if there's interest.

Overall, looking good and I'm excited to eventually move in. Build seems okay, nothing major in the PDI that I was worried about - few scratches and dents here and there that I'm sure will be fixed. The ceiling was supposed to be dropped pretty significantly near the windows in the living room - pleasant surprise that it wasn't.

I guess that's a matter of perspective. There are lots of small units in the building that I would fear to live in -- I'm even worried about adapting to my relatively larger 1+den, since I've rented a Victorian house for many years and never lived in a condo. In general I find all units are decently laid out, i.e no bowling alleys. For what it's worth, here's my layout. I deleted the builder's kitchen because I wanted full-sized appliances, so I'm designing and building my own.

Any suggestions on design / layout are welcome! View attachment 121097

This looks so sweet! I'm just confused about the width of the sitting room kitchen area...how wide is that space? it looks to be about 9' but not sure if that's just the pictures.

You have an amazing patio, lots of opportunity for a garden/lounge area there

Did you complete the kitchen yet?
Too bad you didn't get the cabinetry.
what do you consider full-sized appliances? 30"/36" sink/stove/refrigerator?

11'4" * 9'9" is the space you're working with, correct?
i'm assuming you can't move the location due to fixed electrical/plumbing stacks?

I haven't moved in yet! But I've planned the kitchen.

Their cabinetry was fine, it was more an issue of appliances for me. The fridge, stove, and wall oven were small and could not be upgraded. There was a single dish drawer.

I'm working in the same space. The washer / dryer was originally in the kitchen and will be moved. I'm planning on putting in a 36" fridge, 30" slide-in range, and 24" sink in locations where I shouldn't have to move any electrical or plumbing.
