Grading is taking place on the south side for the 2nd line bridge and both side of the 401 are ready for paving the path. Bridge look great and get a better look at it from the south side and never have until now. Even better shots of the creek. bridge.

More photos up on site and albums as noted Hwy 401 Expansion: Credit River to Hwy 25 and Credit River to Hurontario.

I was wondering if you have any pictures of the recent 401 widening completed between Hespeler and Highway 8 and the overhead signage on the 401 at Guelph Line.

Didn't find any pics, but here's a vid that shows the recently widened 401 at Highway 8
Go 2:30 in

There's also a facebook page that may have some recent pics there

Stop to take at look the work by the Credit River today at 2nd Line bridge and noticed no eastbound traffic. I could see why traffic was moving very slow going west starting a Hurontario now.

Looked through the 300 zoom to see what was going and the noticed a fire truck in lane one and all lanes block off.

Looks like they are getting ready to pour concrete top coat for the creek bridge express lanes. Still a lot of barrier walls

Just before I left the area, the fire truck move to lane 2 to allow lane 1 traffic to start moving.

Truck traffic was using Derry Rd to Mavis Rd to get around the blockage and backup on Derry at Mavis.

Try to look at Creditview Rd area, but way too much construction going on to do so.

A good chunk of the new collector lane westbound under Mississauga is done and work taking place west of the on ramp. The eastbound collector lanes well behind the westbound.

Most of the grading in place for both collector lanes with work taking place for the new bridges over the railway.

I debated where I was going to go next and noticed traffic was flowing good going east and said head east. As I drove by Creditview, noticed 3 foundation support for new support for the new bridge in place.

New sign bridges sitting in the express lanes with signs on then for the collector eastbound lanes including the missing Mavis one.

I just noticed the they have the first columns going up on the north side for the Creditview Bridge and the bridge will be higher than the existing one. Just uploaded the photos for the 2 different phases.

Will try to do some videoing as I to Dutton on Sunday and taking some photos from other location based if I have time.

DO NOT USE 401 BETWEEN HWY 25 AND WINSTON CHURCHILL JUNE 27 & 28 As it is close at Trafalgar Rd. They will be installing steel bathtubs for the new bridge and forcing all traffic off it at Trafalgar and James Snow Pkwy. There is no centre support for the bridge.

The camera fail to recorder my trip from Hurontario to hwy 25 and will try again. They are moving fast on the 2nd phase. Getting ready to built bridges over Halton Sub and Derry Rd. 3 support columns in place for Creditview new bridge on the north side as well the footing for 3 on the south side. There may not be centre columns from the looks of things that bathtub steel will be use there and why the columns are higher than the existing bridge.

Haft the bathtubs are in place for Trafalgar bridge and plan shut down is at 10 pm on the 27th. The new bridge will be about 4' higher on the top or more compere to the current one. Had wanted to take photos from the bridge, but no room to stand there to do it safety. The bathtubs are partly overhanging 401 lanes and will be fill in once the road it close. Follow a flat deck that had more counter weight for the big crane that will be placing the centre span pieces.

Traffic was a real bitch that it was stop east of Hurontario going west that I got off at Hurontario and took the side street to Mavis. It was moving well there, but slow down around Winston Churchill. Eastbound was backup west of Trafalgar going east and got off there going east and shot a few photos.

Did a video from Mavis to Trafalgar and going back east, but need to stabilize it first before posting it, even though it was on a tripod.

Drove from Kitchener to Ottawa yesterday and was amazed at the progress east of Hwy 25. The whole thing seemed to be moving at lightning speed until we got to the 407 interchange. To my untrained eye it looks like none of the myriad ramps and overpasses are wide enough for the extra lanes, and I felt overwhelmed by the scope of work. I wonder how long this is actually going to take? The section immediately east of the Credit already feels like a job that doesn't end.

I read somewhere that from Winston Churchill to just west of the 407 will be 10 lanes only and then back to 12 until west of James Snow Pkwy where it becomes 10 to Hwy 8. Very little work is taking place there now for 407.

Supposed to be done by 2022 (late 2022).

They have installed a sign bridge west of Creditview for eastbound with no sign. I guess this will be showing the split of lanes once the work is done east of the Credit River. Looks like they have clean the area between 2nd line and the Credit River.

I agree. The 401 east credit river extension has been going on forever. The pace of the 401 west extension is a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting it. I hope the CR extension is completed this year.

Hurontario to the Credit River will be open by the fall. Other than finishing off missing sections of barrier walls and the Creek Deck, not much left to be done. Then there are the various sign bridges to be install and clean the plant site area.

I noticed on a Photo I shot Sat that there is to be a transfer lane from the collector lanes to the Express just east of the Credit River.

The area at 407 will be tight to fit in 5 lanes, but can be done. I didn't come back eastbound as plan to check the 407 eastbound ramp from the 401 as it looks tighter than the westbound. Didn't come back that way as the 401 was a parking lot going east when I was ready to head east. Took Derry to Ninth Line and it was a parking lot heading westbound, meaning there was a problem westbound. I was only going to Winston Churchill in the first place and no big deal. When I got near the 401, all traffic was at a standstill going west around the 407 ramps. Since the line up was too long where I wanted to go at Winston Churchill. got back on the 401 to Mississauga Rd to get to Creditview Bridge. Nothing was moving in the westbound lanes all the way pass Mississauga Rd. When I got to Creditview, traffic was moving slowly west. Got back on the 401 going east and traffic was now standstill back to Mavis

Westbound lanes from the 407 will connect to the new collectors lanes, not like it is today and will cut down on today backup in this area.

There were 2 missing bathtubs on the south side and one on the north side for Trafalgar Bridge. No idea if they were installed when the centre spans were installed on the weekend. If not, another closure will be require to finish off the bridge. The new 8-10 lane bridge will be over 8' higher at the north end and over 5' on the south end.

The new westbound off ramp for Trafalgar will be next to the Toronto Premium Outlet site and to deal with the slope from the new bridge.

Sixth Line to west of Trafalgar will require another shut down of the 401 so it can be torn down since it will not support 8 or 12 lanes of traffic. It was to be close June 28.

Creditview Rd New Bridge piers should be all in place this week, but still need to build the retaining support wall at both ends. 3 bathtubs will support the new 3/4 lane road with the underside being over 5 m high compare to the current 4.4 clearance.

This year will see all clearing and grading done as well installing draining system for the collector lanes. Its possible that some concrete lanes will be pour for area ready for them this year from my point of view. The north side is more advance than the south side. Then there are 4 bridge extensions to be built.

June 26 and currently working on June 27
