I was disappointed to read they are rehabilitating the existing Glenmore bridge. Was hoping they would be replacing it to align the pillars below.

I honestly have no idea how they'll make those two work together... they seem so misaligned.

Once the work around Deerfoot and Anderson completes, Calgary won't have much going on in terms of road construction. Probably the least amount since the early 2000s
I think 194th Ave and Macleod Trail interchange will start sooner than later.

After that, money money would be on the the interchanges on Airport trail.

^ As in modifying the existing interchanges at 19th St. & Barlow or constructing new interchanges east of the runway tunnel on Airport Trail ?

I wish they’d get after the crowchild work from Kensington road to 24ave.
Agreed. Didn't see funding for that in the latest budgets, and there's still a lot of acquisition and detailed design before they can start building.

I would think they'd build new interchanges on 36th street, Barlow trail and 60th. Especially with the 88th Ave LRT extension happening.

I'm wondering if these might be dependent on the provinces rail plan too?

If a greenfield HSR route is going to be used, heading east of the city before heading north could avoid a lot of obstacles.

Does anyone know if/when the province will download Deerfoot to the city, I heard after the improvements are done or have they scrapped that plan?

I don't think that's going to happen. They need to maintain them at provincial standards for moving goods. If they threaten to download it to the city, we should threaten to put a bike lane or an express bus route.

Deerfoot was part of the CANAMEX highway system. So the Alberta government had to maintain it. Now I believe Stoney trail is/will be that route now. So I don’t think Deerfoot will have as much importance now. Still the city will be stupid to take it back. The province will have to throw some great incentives on there.

Fair enough, just thought the province might've pressured them to chip in on the maintenance because its within the city limits and Stoney can bypass it.

We are chipping in more and more to provincial coffers through property tax hikes (provincial portion) each and every year.
