Also, note this quote from Doug's interview from the Sun this morning:

“He said he just got up and he felt sort of like he was born again. He said ‘I’m not a religious person but it just came clear to me’ it was time.’ “

I mean, I'm not a religious person either, but I think it's the height of hippocracy to use the trappings of it when you aren't religious.

I know, I know... It's hardly his worst fault.
