Rob and Doug at the Stephen Harper BBQ that he attended on one of the nights that he stayed at the "Grand" Hotel next to "crack central"

Peepers: When I first saw this picture the first thing that I thought of is this could be a perfect "caption contest" type picture here...

I like the way Doug is staring at Rob as if to say "What the hell did you do this time?" and Rob reminds me here of Rodney Dangerfield
"I don't get no respect-no respect at all" and the tall man standing on the right seems to be thinking "Say WHAT?"...
For some reason Tone-Loc's rap song "Funky Cold Medina" comes to my mind here...
The oriental couple in the foreground are both thinking "What are WE doing here?"...

Does anybody have any captions they wish to add? This could be good...LI MIKE

Then again, the forum rules in Urban Toronto are rather lenient. Many popular forums prohibit posting links to pornographic websites.

Here is another image to maintain sanity that is much more relevant to the topic of the thread:

JA: I have mentioned this before and this picture of Hazel McCallion makes me mention it again: She reminds me of the late Clara Peller-
the elderly lady that did all those funny Wendy's "Where's the Beef?" commercials back during the 1980s...LI MIKE

I have two comments. It's up to others whether they're "real" or not.

(1) That is a weak cartoon. Even if there is some way in which the Iranian government is really acting like Rob Ford, how does anybody get a laugh or any kind of new insight from seeing the cartoon?

(2) It does make you think about how bad the Rob Ford problem is compared to other problems around the world. If RoFo gets reelected in 2014, it's a horrible insult to every voter who thinks about quality of life, quality of infrastructure, etc., more often than does a lump of broken concrete. But a lot of the decisions about TO would be in the hands of councillors who can struggle their way around the wishes of the Substance-Troubled Ogre, and a lot of other decisions will get made by the provincial government. By contrast, people in Iran and neighbouring countries have to worry about their kids going hungry for years, getting blown up, etc.

Nobody reasonable would like to have the Rob Ford problem, but a lot of people would trade to have it instead of their actual problems.

Well said.

Well said.

On the other hand it's clear our entire political system is hilariously corrupt from top to bottom and the only people in a position to change anything for the better are a pack of utterly self-interested assholes that don't give a shit about anybody but them. Oh, and everybody else is at best an ignorant prick that would climb over the cold dead corpse of their neighbour for a dollar, so little to no help there. Cartoons like that are a sad attempt to address these issues.

They are very well rolled joints. Who cares? In all honesty who cares if his 'trainer' smokes weed? Since when did we become puritans.

Its not about the well rolled alleged joints (heheheh)! its about fraternizing with individuals who have access to the stuff, after saying you are cleaning up ur act and blah blah blah!

My point being, RoFo is putting on a big show about health and fitness, while continuing his old ways. Just like him prancing in council chambers doing his stretches, drinking his protein shakes..etc! He loves the attention, but underneath..nothing has changed!

Maybe I'm just drunk but I came up with a killer Rob Ford campaigning idea

You know how he hands out those fucking fridge magnets? Who needs fridge magnets with the mayor's name? We get it, annoying roommate and/or dad, we know who you support.

Imagine he handed out Rob Ford branded zigzags. You know, rolling papers. Gravy flavoured.

RoFo, you lookin' for a campaign strategist? Let's have a couple of pops and think real hard 'bout this one.

Better yet, get his sweat or gravy turned into a beverage. Rob Ford's sparkling sweat cider.

Excuse me? Why there? Wtf is he up to, indeed.

I just moved from there two months ago. Too bad, I'd love to have met him.

as much as i wanna know what's up with that, i don't know if i wanna see it in the news. might be best to let as little of ford nation as possible know about that, you know?
