Thx.

I am pro calling a spade a spade. Rob Ford is entertaining. Put him out of office and I guarantee a whole bunch of Toronto journos will be put out to pasture too.

Oh and btw, North Rd in PoCo is really like saying Rob Ford was caught crossing Trafalgar Road in Oakville at 2am ... ie hardly any traffic. It's suburban hell not urban Vancouver.

It's not PoCo, it's Coquitlam. And North Road & Lougheed Highway are considerably busier traffic wise than Downtown Vancouver.

You wanna meet 5000 Ford apologists? I will introduce you to them if you are serious. These people are the silent majority. They don't have time to rant on online forums.
Au contraire on both points. Highly doubt Ford apologists are the majority and they're definitely not silent; I think we've seen that they're quite good at ranting in online fora.

No but their resumes are. I know how this works--it's all about the networking. I could do it with my RenderPornStar but that goes against my principles of integrity, balance and independence.

For someone claiming to be the child of journalists, you show very little regard or understanding of the profession.

Actually, I found out that I have Rosacea in my mid-late 20's, I know all about it. You could be correct, but it doesn't explain his pale days with light pinkish skin (yes, could be the lighting), pale face, nor his eyes, body movements and such. You do raise a valid point, but I'll stick to the camp that he's still doing some kind of drug(s) or hitting the vodka bottle for a shot or two with some kind of frequency. I still think that he did look really good for most of December though, until he apparently fell off the wagon at some point.
Oh, I'm not claiming ALL his redness is from rosacea, or that his redness isn't being exacerbated by substance abuse -- alcohol is a well-known trigger -- or that there aren't other signs that he is on something.

But a typical day to day change in redness could be due, for example, to him coming back from a workout after a hot shower. God knows I'm no apologist for Ford -- far from it! -- but it sometimes seems that every colour fluctuation is pointed to definite proof of something all by itself.

(My condolences about the rosacea. It's not a huge issue, but it can really suck. "Hey, did you get sunburned?" x times a day gets tiresome.)

People who say "Let me repeat what I always say" are assuming that they're sharing pearls of wisdom that the uneducated masses should be grateful to receive. This is often not the case. In this instance, it's really not the case.

TOvp: I understand the journalist from the cynical pov: as a promoter of what I term the "lamestream."

Many journalists start out being naive idealists but end up cynical old folks. Anyways the topic of this thread is Rob Ford not myself nor journalism.

I know all about the star's journalism--my 'rents wrote for that damn rag!

If you paid attention to various online rankings you'd see how everytime a RF story runs the TS's ratings shoot up. Actually this happens on UT too. I really wonder if the media layoffs would have much worse without this story?

So journalism is basically stupid because of something involving your parents. thanks for the insight into where your weird pathology comes from.

^I have never listened to Sarah Palin speak nor do I watch television or read any MSM. In fact really the only "news" I read is related to architecture and to a degree, development. Mostly European architects unveiling their next hot rendering or a tech firm unveiling a new Galaxy Note 7 or something.

I intentionally decided to tune out of the "lamestream" and tune into creating art--fantasy renderings :)--and focusing on being the world's snobbiest architecture critic.

Maybe Sarah Palin stole it from me?! It's like how I was the first person to call the King & Portland area Freedville and suddenly the "lamestream" media started using the term and feigned disbelief that it was I--the urbandreamer--who coined the term. This is one reason I am so cynical about them.

Everything you write screams "narcissist" so loudly that I need earplugs.
