Important announcement from the Porter / BB airport debate

Cllr Peter Milczyn says city clerk has refused to grant Mayor Rob Ford's request for a seat change at today's meeting
City Clerk for Mayor!

Remember, during po–lice surveillance there were measures in place to attempt to keep the public safe against a drunk driving Ford.

Personally, if he drives a white bronco really slowly down the DVP while chased by Toronto's finest, I will do Jagger shots.

Who would "do" A.J. Cowlings? Jerry or Doug?

When Ford was arrested in Florida he didn't resist. He pretty much said to the cop "take me away". So maybe, depending on how high he is, that will happen again. Except this time as he's taken away he'll be whining in his high-pitched voice about how he saved us a billion dollars.

Yeah, I suspect there will some aspect of pathos to the arrest itself. (I too picture a futile attempt to escape, and I derive a lot of pleasure doing so.) I actually think the time of greater danger to those around him--his wife, his kids, staff at city hall, pedestrians on his route home, other innocent bystanders--is as he senses the gig's really up.

Remember how the Joh Lovitz character in "Casino Jack" ( apparently filmed in Toronto BTW ) as he slowly began to sense "the jig was up" spent his last days?

And how he reacted when they finally came for him.

Or describing the shapes of potholes.

A friend of mine ( a Paramedic injured in the Line of Duty ) ended up doing that. I think it's called "Patroller". Part of the job involved picking up road-kill on the Gardiner / DVP and interior roads. I guess they considered him "experienced". :)

Let's hope he doesn't pull a "Bud Dwyer".

And that is not the behaviour of a damaged man, broken by his family and grappling with addiction. That's just an asshole. He deserves all the scorn and contempt he receives.

That is the behavior of a petulant three year old. He should be treated as such.

No offense, but you're coming across as kind of a defensive jerk. Especially since you've treated the forum to your rather "out there" pseudo-Freudian musings on the meaning of 80-year old birds. Musings that have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with your purported focus on 'rational argument'.

First, thank you for you opinion, I would take it as an insult, however, I am sure that is not the intent.

Second, Freud? Psychoanalysis has very little with my break down of Robbie's ramblings other than the usual. Have you listened to something like "Jive" or a similar slang? Robbie infers to have grown up on "the streets" and that is how he speaks to his "friends". Is it a jump that the slang he uses is different between areas, ever wonder why he and his brother call each other "Jones"?

(Also,
I never mentioned "80 year old birds", I did not go that far into Robbie's speech, maybe you should collect your thoughts before posting.)

Todays slang is based on slang going back quite a few years, and in this case, this specific slang Robbie is uttering is similar to slang from a certain time period. The problem with interpretation is that some people use current pop culture to translate. People will also use alternative meanings, and mix slang to keep things secret from those not in the know.

If that is not rational then we must agree to disagree on the meaning of the word.

Also, "leave the emotionalism in your bag"? What 'bag' would that be? The kind that you imagine women might carry when they are being "overly emotional"? Wow.

Wow is right. How long have you been sexist? I think you should try to keep things rational, and your imagination in check before you embarrass yourself.

Have you ever used a "tool bag"?

Back to the topic at hand... a tantrum (my word) over seating, reminds of high school. I guess he likes a position that gives room enough for his antics; I wonder if he realizes the Mayor plaque is gone.
