I get the impression Doolittle takes extra care to not say anything to rile up the Ford-ites too much because they terrify her. Rightfully so. I've noticed in every interview (and even in the book) she takes extra care to not look like she's picking on Ford, and gives him the benefit of the doubt at every opportunity. Not saying she's soft-pedalling anything, but it does seem like she's being...cautious.
I'd say Robyn is cautious, but it's about not jumping to conclusions or appearing biased against the Fords. That would be fatal to her ability to tell the story as a journo. Besides, jumping to conclusions is our job, not hers.
