But I've never seen a City vehicles drive like that in all my years.
I believe at one time they worked a "power shift". That is, they could go home when they finished their route. Not surprisingly, that lead to a few short-cuts.
But, from what I understand, they now have to work their full shift, so there should be no need to rush.
Unfortunately, accidents still happen.
