As for the Queen subway, that was abandoned in favour of the Bloor Danforth line, and it was never actually supposed to be underground, it was an open cut with right of way.
Right. I stand corrected.

Years ago, as in 1966? That's when they talked about dropping all the streetcars in the system by 1980, and it wasn't Council but the TTC board that made the call to keep them after Streetcars for Toronto convinced them to in the early 1970's. Two Councillors were in that organization however.

His reference to King was "years ago" and then "but Councillors decided to go with Streetcars".
Truth is Queen was abandoned due to the cost of the Yonge line being built iirc. Mayor doesn't even know his own city's history.

Yep. It would be easy if speaking Fordish means you just lie 100% of the time. But it isn't. It can vary anywhere from 50/50, to 99/1 %. It gets into a retro vaudeville act (The Ford Follies) when Fordish is being spoken by two performers (at once or in turns) like the Brothers Ford.
I'm not quite sure how far that map goes back but it seems to me it looks like about 1948.
Maybe FN is going hard-hat for their next rally. Those signs their squad carries wield look like they could decapitate.
You got to give him a little leeway....If he repeats it enough it is the truth....
Just like the B-D Extension that was his proposal....he led the charge...GDB and Stintz were only followers...He always wanted the McCowan corridor...He campaigned on it...Just because there is video of R Ford outlining his 2010 transportation plan with the B-D Ext running down the SRT ROW at a cost of 1B doesn't mean he meant it...he always wanted the McC corridor at 3.45B...

Anyone notice the dots extending from up from Danforth & Pape....looks to be a plan for the DRL to relieve Leaside and connect with Eg...How about that, the same plan they were mulling 60+ years ago they're mulling today...
It's like trying to interview Lou Costello.

No, Robbie in 2010 proposed a BD extension up the RT corrador, not the McCowan corridor that is proposed in Stintz's plan.
